VISION STATEMENT

To bring the hope of the cross, and the truth of the Word,

to a people RESTORED to God, through Christ Jesus.

ABOUT US

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Restored Community Church. The word “restored” means to be reestablished, refreshed, and revived. We at RCC believe that all of us have blown it, but desire something more in life than regret or mediocrity. We’ve discovered that “more” is a relationship with Jesus, God’s one and only Son, who came to earth in order to RESTORE us from failure to follower. Join us as we set out on a journey to discover the authentic life of a Christ-follower through obedience to His Word, loving one another in truth, and serving and showing what the abundant God-life looks like. “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. RESTORE to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.” Psalm 51:10, 12

Pastor Ben

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. Therefore, our ministry emphasizes the exposition of God's Word from Genesis to Revelation, line upon line, precept upon precept.

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; we further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of Communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.

We believe that God created mankind—male and female—in His own image and likeness, free of sin, to glorify Himself and enjoy His fellowship. Tempted by Satan, but in the sovereign plan of God, man freely chose to disobey God, bringing sin, death and condemnation to all mankind. All human beings, therefore, are totally depraved by nature and by choice. Alienated from God without defense or excuse, and subject to God's righteous wrath, all of mankind is in desperate need of the Savior (Genesis 3:1–6; Romans 3:10–19; Romans 1:18, 32).

We believe that God designed marriage, exclusively, as one man and one woman. (Mark 10:6-8)

We believe it is the aim, duty, and privilege of every believer and local church fellowship to glorify God by responding as active participants in the Great Commission call of Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19)

Ben & Debbie Harris

Senior Pastor & Women’s MINISTRIES Director

After 20 years in law enforcement, Pastor Ben felt God’s calling to full time ministry at his church. After working under Dr. David Jeremiah as Men’s Pastor for 8 years, Ben once again felt God was calling him away from his current service to plant a church somewhere. The Lord led him and his wife, Debbie, along with a team of 12 up to the Treasure Valley of Idaho where they planted a house-church in their home. Soon afterwards, a church in Eagle, in search of a pastor, contacted Pastor Ben and the the rest is history.

Debbie asked God if she could be a pastor’s wife when she was just a teenager and God delighted her. Her greatest fulfillment is to support her husband in what God has called them to and that included a myriad of hats in this church plant. She currently heads up our Women’s Ministry Department overseeing a women’s council of 6 women who serve a 2-year term and help to coordinate the women’s events. Her greatest passion is pointing women to the Word as she oversees the RCC Women’s Bible Studies.

Pastor Ben and Debbie (best-friends) have 6 adult children, and 14 grandchildren who they love spending time with whenever possible. Having lost their oldest child in February 2021 they are blessed and challenged to finish raising her three children.

Pastor Ben restored an old rusted 41 Chevy pickup from his family, and uses it as a metaphor for God’s restoration of us through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

Nicole grew up in a ministry family, spending much of her youth at church helping her family serve. She joined her first youth worship team at 13, where she learned the history of worship in the Old Testament and how it affects our worship today. She grew up loving hymns and loves to incorporate them as well as other genres into contemporary worship sets. Nicole has a deep desire to lead the Bride of Christ into worship and see the congregation edified as they worship in unison. She and her husband Frank have three amazing kids and they can all be found serving alongside each other most Sundays.

Toni moffett

Toni has a passion for every child to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior! Toni jumped right into her Christian walk by serving as a leader in an A.W.A.N.A. program and that’s where her love for memorizing Scripture and teaching children to do it as well started. As a missionary in Africa for 10 years, she has trained and equipped thousands of children how to share their faith with others.
